AUGUST 16, 2026 · ALBIO MOUNTAIN, ST. MARY, JAMAICA

the 6th annual
aunt liza spelling bee

Where words open worlds. A competition.
A celebration. A legacy in the making.

THE LEGACY

A group of children and an adult posing outdoors on a sunny day, holding various boxes and papers, with some smiling and others with neutral expressions, in front of a hillside with trees and a white tent.

Why this bee is different

Aunt LizA couldn't give the children of Albion Mountain everything but she gave them what she had. This competition is us doing the same thing, at scale, every year.

Every other spelling bee is about words. This one is about what words can open doors, futures, possibilities that these children have always deserved but have never been handed.

THE PROCESS

How It Works

  • Open to all primary schools in St. Mary. Register your school and nominate your strongest spellers. No cost to participate — access is the whole point.

  • Competitors face off in rounds of increasing difficulty. Every student who takes the stage is already a winner — they stood up and showed up.

  • Winners receive prizes, recognition, and a permanent place on the Champions Wall. Their names join a legacy that will last as long as this organization does.
